Abstract:

In the modern world, patriotism, courage, loyalty, everything that was inherent in protectors and guardians is valued, that is, these qualities are reflected in echoes in modern images. Also, understanding the ideal image of a protector-guardian in ancient Russian literature helps to understand the literary techniques of that time. This article conducts a study of the ideal of a protector-guardian in Russian legends, epics, as well as in ancient Russian literature, for example, in “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” and others, in order to understand its characteristics and role in the formation of the image and values of ancient Russian culture.
