Abstract:

the article analyzes the current situation of neo-Buddhist religious organizations in Western society and in Russia: the influence of their activities on the cultural, social and political aspects of society, their interaction with traditional religions, main characteristics, history, principles and teachings. Also, as part of the study, a comparative analysis of the situation of neo-Buddhist religious organizations in Western society and in Russia is carried out - the main differences and similarities in their status, legal status, and attitude towards them from the state and traditional religions are identified. The conclusion is drawn about the significance and role of neo-Buddhist religious organizations in modern society and their contribution to the development of the cultural and social space of modern Western society and Russia.
