There is a Government of Ladonia, ruled by a cabinet of ministers. The total area of the country is divided into six counties, which are administered by the County Councils. The founder of the state, Lars Vilks, holds the humble post of Secretary of State. Lars Vilks is the artist behind Nimis and Ark, founder and Secretary of State of Ladonia. He is also the chief editor of the Ladonia Herald newspaper.
