DEPENDENCE OF GAS TEMPERATURE FROM THE TEMPERATURE OF ITS MOLECULES

Abstract:

Based on the equation of state of the Clapeyron gas, a formula is obtained for determining the total gas temperature for any temperature distribution of its constituent molecules, including nonequilibrium distributions. The basis for constructing such a formula is the dependence of the temperatures of individual molecules not only on their kinetic energy, but also on the sizes, mean free paths, and thus on the discharge and, respectively, the gas pressure.
