On June 25, 2018, the first head of state of Asgardia, Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli, took office in the Hofburg Palace with the participation of more than 40 countries from around the world. Ambassadors of more than 10 countries, representatives of a number of large public organizations connected with UN structures, Asgardia deputies, astronauts, heads of the space industry, scientists, international lawyers and representatives of the mass media from all over the world took part in the ceremony.
